about
"Sugar Queen" is an homage to women, underlining that femininity does not exclude strength and that sweetness does not mean weakness. It was inspired by a certain type of woman, that in my perception radiated a strong somehow "royal" and sublime air, but at the same time seemed so natural and soft.
lyrics
She likes the smell of coconut
and her hair she'd never cut
she hides her face just when it rains
but has the rainbow in her veins
Sugar Queen
She is royal, she is soft
she is tough, her lips are glossed
she is nature, she is steel
she is brains and she is feel
Sugar Queen
And she's rising with the moon
she sings when the flowers bloom
she likes the sun just from the shade
sweetie pie and razor blade
